I have been so inspired by the story of Hannah's faith in 1 Samuel lately. It's one of those stories I've read over and over but it didn't really hit me until recently. Hannah had such a sincere faith and depth of love to be a nurturer and a mother - and with Mother's Day yesterday I couldn't stop thinking about her story. I came across this blog talking about the different attributes we can learn from Hannah in the bible [read it here.] I love any chance I get to learn a timeless trait from a woman in the Bible so I chose this verse, and paired it together with some of my illustrations to create these. I hope these wallpapers encourage you today and encourage you to read the whole story of Hannah's life. Open this link up on your phone and hold + save.
Hello! So I recently discovered watercolour canvas, and while I'm still getting used to painting on it - it's been so much fun learning and trying new materials. Above is one of my latest pieces on an 18 x 30" canvas using watercolour paint and a size 12 round brush. I will be sharing more materials and techniques I like very soon! Check out my last post for 4 free phone wallpaper downloads that I designed!
Whenever I feel like I am not inspired AT ALL or everything I am creating is awful, I pray for creativity and inspiration and then I try using materials I don't normally use. My favourite tools to create are my iPad Pro + Apple Pen with the app ProCreate, my favourite watercolour paints, or doodling with Micron pens. However, when these materials aren't working for me or I feel like I am not creating something I am proud of, I go through my art supplies and try something new.
I'm so excited to announce my latest collaboration with a ministry that is so close to my heart. The Penny Story is a simple yet impactful ministry started by my friend Kendall Altmeyer thats ultimate goal is to end human trafficking. For years, this cause has been such a burden on my heart but also makes me feel so small. Anyone who knows anything about this epidemic has asked themselves "What can I do about this?"
It's been such an exciting start to 2017 and I have so many exciting projects and collaborations coming up that I can't wait to share. I have been getting requests to create more abstract wallpapers and have been getting inspired by these neutral Valentine's Day colors! Below you can save 4 phone wallpapers to your lock screen to use throughout the month.
The fastest year of my life is officially coming to a close - but it's ending on so many sweet notes! My beautiful niece is days away from her due date and I have been so inspired to create and draw over the last few weeks. I've created 3 illustrated wallpapers for not just your phone but your laptop/desktop computer, and your iPad/Tablet as well!
Two years ago today I designed my first ever phone wallpaper in my college dorm. The design simply said "Hello, October" and it was one of the first times I ever used Adobe Illustrator. Today I'm so thankful that that wallpaper has spread all over Pinterest and received over 50k reins from 10 different countries. But even more than that I'm so thankful that I have been able to learn and grow as a designer since then!
You might think you have everything for Fall (school supplies, PSL's and that new iOS10 update) but you can't leave your phone out! I had such a great time creating these 3 designs and gathered a lot of inspiration from friends. I asked the question "What does Fall make you think of?" and I got answers like apple orchards, romantic comedies, latte's and all the things you'd expect a girl to say about fall. I collected and doodled some ideas from different inspirations and came up with 3 wallpapers I hope you love.
We are only a few days away from Valentine's Day and while this holiday is loved by many there are lots of people who don't like it as much. I've always loved February the 14th no matter what - simply because we get to celebrate LOVE in the cheesiest way possible, and I'm a cheesy person. Keeping these things in mind I designed two FREE wallpapers for your phone that highlight things we love and help us enjoy this day without being sad or cynical about it.

I would like to say this is a challenge for me but I love it too much to admit that: I like to draw or create something every single day. Lately I have been trying to be more intentional about sharing my work and what's on my heart! So today, I have added some free wallpapers for your phone to inspire you as you begin the week ahead.
